1. What PeerBear is

PeerBear (“we”, “us”) operates peerbear.io, a directory where makers submit products and signed-in users upvote and comment on them. These Terms govern your use of the site. By creating an account or submitting a product, you agree to them.

2. Accounts

Sign-in is passwordless: we email a one-time link tied to the address you provide. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address. We may suspend or remove an account that violates these Terms.

3. Submitting a product

Listing a product on PeerBear is free. You must own or have the right to submit what you list — including the name, description, and any logo or screenshot you upload. Submissions are reviewed before going live; we may reject or remove a listing that is fraudulent, misleading, spam, or illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant PeerBear a non-exclusive license to display it on the site and in related promotion of the directory (e.g. the homepage, leaderboard, or social previews).

4. Upvotes and comments

Ranking is based on upvotes from signed-in users. Manipulating votes — through fake accounts, automation, or incentivized voting — is not allowed and may result in removal of the affected votes or account suspension. Comments must be your own genuine feedback; we may remove comments that are abusive, spam, or unrelated to the listing.

5. Featured placements

A Featured placement is a paid, time-limited change to where a listing appears in the directory. It does not add upvotes and does not change a product's position on the leaderboard. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Dodo Payments); we don't store your card details. Featured placements are non-refundable once activated, except where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or knowingly false
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Interfere with the site's normal operation, including through automated scraping that ignores our robots.txt, or attacks on availability
• Use the site to distribute malware or conduct phishing

7. Disclaimer

PeerBear lists products submitted by third parties. We don't vouch for, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or quality of any listed product. Your use of any linked product is at your own risk and subject to that product's own terms.

8. Limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PeerBear is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
